The rules below are a guide for Laurel Jones County Soccer.
U-5, U-6, and U-8 are non-competitive. Before a game begins the coaches can agree on terms to make the game run more smoothly. Let's say instead of playing a U-5 or U-6 game four (4) quarters it would be better to play six (6) five-minute quarters with two minute breaks between quarters with a seven minute halftime, that would be acceptable. If you have two U-8 teams getting ready to play a game and one team only has 4 players, the coaches can get together and decide to just play 4 x 4. Also there should be no problem when a child is hurt or crying to sub one player for another during the quarter. At the end of the day, we want the kids to enjoy the experience of playing on a team.
